The Music of Pensacola: A Musical Salute to the City of Five Flags

The Pensacola Bay Concert Band performs “The Music of Pensacola: A Musical Salute to the City of Five Flags” during the 2015 Foo Foo Fest in honor of the City of Pensacola’s diverse history.
This adult concert band will perform beautiful musical pieces that represent each unique era in Pensacola’s history with performances that reflect the influence that the Creek Indians, Spanish, French, British, Confederacy and the United States had in shaping Pensacola as we know it today. There will also be several additional pieces performed.
In addition, esteemed local historian Mr. John Appleyard will be presenting a brief historical account of each nation’s influence on the history and heritage of Pensacola prior to the performance of our corresponding musical piece.
Admission will honor the organization’s tradition of requesting a non-perishable food item in place of ticket prices.
