Foo Foo Festival Announced—One Banner; Panoply of Events

Arts, Culture and Entertainment, (ACE), Inc. announced the selection of Foo Foo Festival as the name of the upcoming fall festival of arts and culture to be held November 6-17, 2014. Highlights for the 12-day celebration of arts, culture and entertainment include the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival, the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show at NAS Pensacola, the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival, and the Pensacola Marathon. Additionally, 17 area arts and cultural organizations have been awarded grants to enhance, extend or create events during this period between the four successful events.
Foo Foo Festival is a 12-day celebration of existing and new culturally creative happenings, events and moments under one banner, attracting visitors to Pensacola. Foo Foo Fest is big fun, with events of high artistic and cultural caliber, delivered with a hefty dose of Southern sophistication.
“Insiders have long recognized Pensacola as a mecca for arts and culture,” stated Lois Benson, ACE Board Member. “We are now ready to share our secret. By launching and marketing Foo Foo Fest, cultural tourists from across the Southeast will come to stay here in the fall, get a taste of our diverse cultural offerings and come back again and again.”
