From the Barns to the Beaches and the Bayous, the Gulf Coast Quilt Trail is coming!
Gulf Coast Quilt Trail in partnership with the Pensacola Quilter’s Guild is creating an art scavenger hunt during the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival. Quilt Trails are very popular across rural America. Painting of Barn Quilts, as they are also known, and documenting where they are hung has become the largest grassroots public arts movement in the country. Twelve painted Barn Quilts will be hung within a 2-mile radius of Seville Square.
A map will be provided at the quilt guild’s Great GulfCoast Arts Festival booth and online at the website. Families and art patrons can go on a scavenger style hunt to find all of the Barn Quilts in downtown Pensacola.
