PenArts is bringing the rollicking Wild West of the 1800s to Pensacola for Foo Foo Fest 2023!

Based on Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, DESPERATE MEASURES, by Peter Kellogg and David Friedman, is an entertaining, witty, and fast-paced musical!

Making its Pensacola premiere, DESPERATE MEASURES is sure to entertain Foo Foo Fest guests with a plot filled with mistaken identities, love triangles, gunfights, and possible public hanging.

Set in Arizona in the 1800s, it is an inspired and comedic take on one of Shakespeare’s “problem plays,” Measure for Measure.

A musical that was a hit in New York City is making its Pensacola premiere. DESPERATE MEASURES is a contemporary musical filled with humor and catchy tunes, making Shakespeare easily understood and enjoyable for all.
