Based in California, Novy is well-known for his stenciled street art across the country, with commissioned works in cities such as New Orleans, Denver, and San Francisco. Come see him in action the night before his workshop, at our Opening Block Party event, as part of our Vandals to Vanguard exhibit, on Friday evening, November 4th as part of Pensacola’s annual Foo Foo Festival.
This Stencil Workshop with Jeremy Novy at the Pensacola Museum of Art will give you a brief, yet insightful history of stenciling and its applications in various creative processes. We’ll discuss some examples of street art as seen in ancient and contemporary art.
You will also gain a basic understanding of how to design, cut, and spray your very own stencil―which you will make and take home that day! No previous experience is necessary to participate in this workshop.
