Stamped LGBTQIA+ Film Festival is back for Foo Foo Festival louder and prouder than ever – celebrating its 10th anniversary with the biggest festival yet. More films. More flare. More celebrity guest artists. And more color added to the beautiful array of arts and culture offerings at Foo this Fall.
Stamped represents a mixture of every letter of the alphabet – nodding to diverse groups within the LGBTQIA+ family to highlight the artistic contributions both nationally and internationally of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer films and filmmakers. The unique ability of film to transcend stereotypes and relate to the viewer opens the door to a dialogue about the LGBTQIA+ experience, building a stronger and more open Pensacola.
The festival kicks off on Thursday, November 10 with an exclusive (sponsor/invite only) evening among some of the LGBTQIA+ community’s favorite visiting artists.
Running the evening of November 11 and all day on Saturday, November 12, guests will view highly-vetted films from around the globe. While the weekend content can vary from PG-Mature, the festival shifts gears on Sunday, November 13 to feature a family-friendly day of viewing, with films appropriate for all ages. “Family Day” includes a series of children’s activities from face painting, balloon art, kids snacks, and films to melt the heart of everyone in the family.
The vibrant four-day festival runs Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:00-9:00 p.m., all day on Saturday, and concludes with a family-friendly showcase on Sunday full of food, games, activities, and films running from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
All demographics are welcome within the historic walls of The Clark Family Cultural Center.
The festival exists as a conduit to provide a vibrant and educational experience to the Gulf Coast region, specifically Pensacola.
This festival focuses on LGBTQIA+ stories, with the goal of expanding the region’s diversity and acceptance of diverse identities and attracting recurring out-of-town tourists who appreciate an inclusive and accepting community.
