Date Posted: May 19, 2021
Apply Today to Be a Part of This November’s Events
Pensacola, Fla. (May 19, 2021) – Following last week’s announcement of the official 2021 Pensacola Foo Foo Festival grant recipients, the Foo Foo Festival Committee is now accepting applications from non-profit and for-profit entities who are interested in playing a part in this year’s events as a “Friend of Foo.” Non-profits in the Pensacola area who recently applied and did not receive a grant for this year’s festival but would still like to participate, or local for-profit businesses such as hoteliers, restaurants, and bars who are interested in participating and benefitting, are encouraged to apply. To review the application process, visit FooFooFest.com for more information.
The “Friend of Foo” program is a submission and approval-based process that may be completed online. “Friend of Foo” participants will receive local, regional, and national visibility during the 12-day event via the festival’s regional marketing campaign. When applying, entrants should be prepared to provide the name and title of their prospective event, the date, time, and location for the event, its respective category, and details and imagery to support the concept. The deadline to submit to be a “Friend of Foo” is Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, by Noon CST.
“Great Southern Restaurants has been proud to have been involved as a Friend of Foo since the inception of Foo Foo Fest,” said Maria Goldberg, Director of Marketing, Public Relations and Events for Great Southern Restaurants. “Each year we offer our Atlas Beverage Class which is always a great event. The additional complementary marketing efforts provided by Foo Foo Fest have helped us reach a whole new demographic which has been invaluable.”
“During the 2019 Foo Foo Festival, Zarzaur Law, P.A. presented a special edition of our well-known ‘Legal Graffiti’ event,” said Michelle Ortiz-Miguez, Marketing Manage of Zarzaur Law, P.A. “The three-day live painting event took place at the corner of Palafox and Romana, right outside of our building, helping to attract locals and visitors to the Downtown Pensacola area for that year’s Foo Foo Festival activities. Visitors watched three artists work on large 6’x6’ canvases using a variety of paint, including spray paint, and the paintings were then auctioned off as a fundraiser for Gulf Coast Kid’s House. We were thrilled to be a part of the Foo Foo Festival and are thankful to be a member of such a thriving downtown community.”
The Pensacola Foo Foo Festival will take place November 4-15, 2021. For a detailed festival FAQ, general information, continuing news, and general updates visit FooFooFest.com or follow Foo Foo Festival on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
