STAMPED: LBGTQ Film Festival

November 12 & 13 showcase a mixture of every letter of the alphabet soup – nodding to diverse groups within the LGBTQ+ family to highlight the artistic contributions both nationally and internationally of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer films and filmmakers. The unique ability of film to transcend stereotypes and relate to the viewer opens the door to a dialogue about the LGBTQ experience, building a stronger and more open Pensacola.
Running the evening of November 12 and all day on Saturday, November 13, guests will view highly-vetted films from around the globe. While the weekend content can vary from PG-Mature, the festival shifts gears on Sunday, November 14th to feature a family-friendly day of viewing, with films appropriate for all ages. “Family Day” includes a series of children’s activities from face painting, balloon art, kids snacks, and films to melt the heart of everyone in the family.
The vibrant three-day festival runs Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and concludes with a family-friendly showcase on Saturday full of food, games, activities, and films running from 12:00-9:00 p.m.
All demographics are welcome within the historic walls of the Pensacola Cultural Center.
The festival exists as a conduit to provide a vibrant and educational experience to the Gulf Coast region, specifically Pensacola.
This festival focuses on LGBTQ+ stories, with a goal of expanding the region’s diversity and acceptance of diverse identities and attracting recurring out-of-town tourists who appreciate an inclusive and accepting community.

Someone Waits For Me (Trailer below)
- The story of five gay and lesbian seniors in the Northwest Florida region as they navigate coming out, identity, politics, and the challenges and victories inherent in the gay experience. The film weaves together interviews with fictionalized interludes of magical realism that capture their experiences and feelings.
As Simple As That
- Suspicious that her son is gay, Joana shares her doubts with her husband. To her surprise, the boy’s father knows much more about the subject than she imagined. After all, why was she the last to know?

To Decadence with Love (Trailer below)
- This documentary film follows the lives of drag queens Laveau Contraire and Franky Canga as they prepare for a weekend of New Orleans’ queer celebration of identity, Southern Decadence. While getting a behind-the-scenes view of “gender fuckery art,” we see queer performers challenging social norms and the boundaries of self-expression all while being a part of a rich community of artists. - When two gay best friends, Ben and Matthew, accidentally sleep together, are they dating? Are they still friends? What’s supposed to happen next? Meanwhile, Leigh’s been doing everything to coerce her long-term girlfriend, Julia, into allowing a third into the bedroom.
