Florida Humanities Update: Call for Grant Panelists, Community Project Grants, and Libraries

Apply to Become a Grant Panelist!
Humanities scholars, we need your help. If you consider yourself objective and knowledgeable on the humanities and are interested in raising up the vital, underserved voices and stories from communities across Florida, consider applying to serve as a Florida Humanities grant panelist!
Panelists receive an honorarium to read and score grants and program applications. Historians, anthropologists, educators, community leaders, oral historians, folklorists, and professionals in the literary arts in the cultural, academic, public, and private sectors are highly encouraged to apply.

Community Project Grants
Apply by September 9 or October 14 for up to $5,000 to host engaging public humanities programming in your community. From virtual lectures and community conversations to recorded podcasts and panel discussions, these grants offer cultural organizations the opportunity to bring people together through the humanities during a time where we feel most apart.

Life, Liberty + Libraries
Florida Humanities and PBS Books have proudly partnered to offer Florida libraries and cultural organizations with literary collections up to $2,500 in funding to purchase democracy and civics-themed books for circulation, and host complimentary public humanities programming!
