Date Posted: Aug 21, 2015

PENSACOLA, Fla., August 21, 2015 – The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra is welcoming world-renowned cellist, Cicely Parnas, to accompany them for their performance during Foo Foo Festival on November 7 at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre.

She has been recognized by The New York Times as a “fast-rising young cellist,” with a “velvety sound, articulate passagework, and keen imagination.”

Between 2014 and 2015 she has been performing and doing educational programs nationwide at the National Museum for Women in the Arts, the Levine School of Music, Patrons for Young Artists, the Morgan Library and Museum, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

Her first performance at Carnegie Hall was back in 2012, when she performed the same Camille Saint-Saëns’ first cello concerto that she will be playing this year at Foo Foo Fest!

She has since traveled across the world, touring France with L’Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire and making an appearance at the 2013 Young Concert Artists Festivals in Tokyo and Beijing.
