Do you adore a handcrafted whiskey paired with a perfectly balanced meal? Then come send your taste buds on a rollercoaster of flavor immersion this November, during Foo Foo Festival as Jackson’s Steakhouse brings Pensacola, Fla. the Compass Box Whiskey Dinner. Partnered with Compass Box Whiskey Co. and Premier Beverage, Jackson’s Steakhouse will provide guests with an evening of spirited culinary magic that includes a four-course meal highlighting the scotches and whiskies from the Compass Box Whiskey’s Signature Range and a refreshing dessert.
Each course will feature rich, sultry dishes that have been specifically crafted by Jackson’s Steakhouse Chef, Irv Miller, to enhance the complex flavors of the spirits. The dinner will cost $65 plus tax and gratuity; the price for this dinner provides an outstanding value for any whiskey lover or fine dining experience.
The menu is as follows:
First Course
Venison and ground bison sausage gumbo paired with Asyla—blended Scotch whisky 40 percent
Second Course
Open-face biscuit topped with pulled Benton’s bacon with tomatoes Provençale, arugula and salsa verde paired with Hedonism—blended grain Scotch whisky 43 percent
Third Course
Duck and dumplings paired with The Peat Monster—blended malt Scotch whisky 46 percent
Fourth Course
Star anise-braised beef short rib with Plantation Gold Rice and snap beans paired with The Spice Tree—blended malt Scotch whisky 46 percent.
Dessert
Monkey bread with orangerie glaze.
