Big Moe Carson set as Celebrity Judge of EggFest

Hey all you BBQ Pitmasters fans did you hear? Big Moe Carson of Ponderosa BBQ, is going to be the celebrity judge at EggFest! For those of you who don’t know Big Moe, he is a self-taught Pitmaster that has competed in more than 200 competitions winning a sum of more than $80,ooo. Big Moe derived most of his popularity on the TLC series Pit Wars and is considered one of the most successful members of the Kansas City Barbeque Society.
By now you’ve probably figured out EggFest has something to do with BBQ. The Pensacola EggFest is a BBQ competition featuring more than 100 different cooks, all exclusively using Big Green Eggs. All the proceeds of event will go to benefit Pensacola’s only teen volunteer center, Chain Reaction.
So get ready for some finger licking action this November at the Blue Wahoos stadium as backyard grill masters and professional teams battle it out to be named the winner. Tickets are $25 -this includes admission into the event, sampling of the vast array of barbeque as well as entry into the raffle.
Mark your calendars for Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. and come taste what our chefs and local celebrities have cooked up for you on their Big Green Eggs.
